The authors studied mathematics, statistics, and economics together as undergraduates at the University of Western Ontario. Ron then went on to a Ph.D. in economics at Harvard, and Tom a Ph.D. in mathematical statistics at Princeton. They have taught at Wesleyan University, the University of Minnesota, Duke University, and the University of Cali- fornia at Berkeley, and now both teach at the University of Western Ontario.
Ron has written books on Canadian-U.S. trade, *PUBLISHED_2DE by North- Holland and Harvard University Press (with another brother, Paul). Tom has written Calculus. Together they have written Econometrics, also *PUBLISHED_2DE by Wiley.
