Description

DIN rail mounted distribution box for Modbus RTU communication and power supply (24 VDC and 3.3 VDC). If the DMDBM22 distribution box receives a PoM data signal with 24 VDC power supply via one of its RJ45 connectors, it can distribute this data signal and the 24 VDC power supply to other PoM devices. It also has a built-in conversion to a 3.3 VDC PoM power supply. In this way, PoM devices that operate on 3.3 VDC via their RJ12 connection can also be supplied. The DLDB22 has 10x RJ45 connector (24 VDC) and 12x RJ12 connector (3.3 VDC). Maximum distributed current: 1.5 A.

10x RJ45 Connectors
An RJ45 connector , also known as an RJ45 jack or connector, is a standardized physical interface for connecting Ethernet cables to various network devices. This connector type is widely recognized and used in both residential and commercial environments, making it the leading choice for Ethernet connections. In addition, it complies with the established standard when connecting Sentera's Power over Modbus RTU devices .
The designation "RJ45" is derived from "Registered Jack 45", which indicates the wiring standard associated with this connector. It consists of eight pins and is specifically designed for transmitting data and power over twisted-pair cables . RJ45 connectors provide a practical and reliable solution for connecting devices to a Modbus network, ensuring seamless connectivity within various network environments.This Mobus RTU distribution box has ten RJ45 connections . These RJ45 connections are internally connected (parallel connection). Sentera devices with 24 VDC power supply can be connected via the RJ45 connections - PoM connection . Via the Sentera PoM connection, both the Modbus RTU communication and the 24 VDC power supply are distributed via one UTP cable with an RJ45 connector. An external 24 VDC power supply is required . This distribution box simplifies the wiring and connection of Sentera devices. Simply insert the UTP cable with an RJ45 connector into the socket until it clicks into place. The eight pins of the connector make contact with the corresponding pins in the socket, creating a secure physical connection. This allows data to be sent and received between devices and 24 VDC power to be distributed.12x RJ12 Sockets
An RJ12 connector , also known as a 6P6C connector, is a physical interface primarily used to connect telephone cables together. It looks like an RJ45 socket, but has a smaller number of contacts. The nomenclature "RJ12" is an abbreviation for "Registered Jack 12" and is designed to accommodate up to six wires or contacts. However, it is often used with 6P4C (6-position, 4-contact) wiring, meaning it offers six positions for wires, but typically only four of these contacts are used.
RJ12 sockets provide a secure physical connection that allows for the transfer of both data signals and 3.3 VDC power distribution . To use them, simply insert a cable with an RJ12 connector into the socket until you hear a click. In the socket, the four contacts engage their corresponding counterparts on the plug, creating a connection for transmitting signals.The twelve RJ12 connections can be used to connect Sentera devices with 3.3 VDC power supply . Modbus RTU communication and 3.3 VDC power supply voltage are distributed to the connected devices via the RJ12 connectors. The 3.3 VDC power supply voltage is derived from the 24 VDC power supply on the RJ45 sockets. If no external 24 VDC power supply is connected to the RJ45 sockets, no 3.3 VDC is available either. The combined current consumption of all connected devices must not exceed 1.5 A (3.3 VDC and 24 VDC devices combined).Maximum Cable Length
A Modbus RTU network must have a line topology . The maximum length of the trunk line is approximately 1,000 m . The combined length of all branches must not exceed 20 m.
