William Grover, in the winning green 2262 cc supercharged Bugatti 35B, holds off Bouriano in the yellow 1991cc Bugatti 35c and Etancelin in the blue Bugati 35c at the Gazometres hairpin. In hot pursuit are the red Alfa Romeos of Rigal and Zehender, the Maserati of De Sterlich and the white 7.7 litre Mercedes-Benz of Caracciola. In the background is the blue Delage 1558 of de Rovin. In this colourful 110 lap race, Bugattis were to take six out of the first seven places, with only nine cars finisching out of the sixteen starters.
