Leonid Frechkop (1897-1982): Landschap 1962 (81 x 61 cm)

Belgian artist born in moscow in 1897 and who died in 1982 in brussels. He was a painter, draftsman, printmaker and decorator. Graduated from the moscow academy in 1920 and obtained the prix de rome. Left russia in 1922 and settled in brussels. Realized compositions, figures, nudes, dancers, children, flowers. All his life he explored painting in all directions. He showed total independence from every style and trend. Revolutionary to the core of his heart, he nevertheless stuck to tradition. Work in many museums all over the world.
